P1 cultures, also known as master liquid Cultures, are the most vigorous cultures available on the market.
P2 Cultures are made from P1 cultures by expanding them 10-fold, so 10 ml to 100 ml.
Swordbelt always gets confused as a magic mushroom variety, as it looks similar to cubensis. They can be grown in monotubs and are great mushrooms for beginners.
Orientation-Top fruiting. Grow on Sawdust 80% and bran 20% or a master mix(Mix of Sawdust and Soy hulls) substrate.
Mushroom farms grow them in 3-4 Kg blocks in a grow bag.
Swordbelts are often described as umami and have a firm, slightly chewy texture; many people compare their taste to Meaty and savoury, making them great for sautéing, grilling, or adding to soups and pasta dishes.
Swordbelt (Agrocybe aegerita) Gourmet. Also known as Piopinno or Black Poplar, the mushroom is a wood-loving mushroom. Ideal fruiting temp: 10°-18°C
Incubation T°: 23°C , duration: 15-17 Days. Relative humidity: 85-90 %, CO2-concentration: less than 1000 ppm, Light: 800-1500 lux
Store the Swordbelt in the fridge at 2°C.
Incubate at 22°C. Maintain humidity at 85-90% for pin formation and drop by 5-10% during fruiting. If the fruits start to turn leggy, increase the airflow.
The liquid culture can be used in various cultivation techniques. You may introduce the liquid culture into sterilized grain jars/bags, agar Petri dishes, or even another sterile nutrient jar to expand into a more liquid culture.
