Mycological Peptone
Derived from soybean plants, mycological peptone is commonly used in liquid culture and agar recipes, and it can also be added to substrate as a supplement.
Benefits:
- Stimulates Mycelium Growth: Peptone supplementation not only stimulates the growth of mycelium but also greatly improves the quality of the projected mycelium mat.

Recipe for MYPA (Malt Yeast Peptone Agar) for 1000ml:
- 20 grams Agar Agar
- 20 grams Light Malt Extract
- 1 gram Peptone
- 1 gram Yeast
Adjust this ratio according to your water requirements.
We Recommend Using:
- WA (Water Agar): For cloning mushroom tissue
- MEA (Malt Extract Agar): For spore germination
- MYA (Malt Yeast Agar): For expanding plates to use for grain spawn or liquid culture and to isolate strains
- MYPA (Malt Yeast Peptone Agar): A more efficient and complete formula for long-term storage of your culture (over 1 year)
