How to Use a Wax Dauber:
- Drill Holes: Begin by drilling holes into the log using an appropriate drill bit.
- Insert Spawn: Insert the dowel plug or sawdust spawn into the drilled holes.
- Apply Wax: Use the wax dauber to apply melted wax over the filled holes.
Applying wax over the holes ensures the mycelium is shielded from the external environment, allowing it to grow without hindrance and protecting it from contaminants and drying out.
